What We Check

A thorough look at your roof and the details that protect your home.

Every Inspection

From the Roof to the Signs Inside

• Roofing materials and signs of wear or damage

• Flashing around chimneys, skylights and roof connections

• Vents, pipe boots, seals and exposed nails

• Roof edges, valleys, gutters and downspouts

• Debris, moss and drainage problems, including gutter overflow or water backing up toward your roof or home

• Accessible attic areas, the underlying roof deck and interior signs of moisture where needed

Have a Leak? We Follow the Clues.

Where water shows up isn’t always where it gets in. We ask when the leak happens, review any previous repairs and investigate how water is entering and traveling through your home. Rain, melting snow and wind can all help us narrow down the cause.

What You Get

Clear answers, no pressure.

A Complete Breakdown

We explain your roof’s condition in plain language, including any damage, maintenance needs and potential problems.

A Plan for Your Roof

You’ll know what needs attention now, what can wait and the options available. That might mean maintenance, repairs, rejuvenation or replacement. If your roof has a clean bill of health, we’ll tell you that too.

Any recommended work is explained and quoted separately. You choose how to proceed.

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It. Hear From Our Customers.

★★★★★

First Rate Roofing did an excellent job repairing our roof. When they came to give an estimate, they listened to our problem, inspected the roof, and then took pictures to show us what was needed. This professional approach made it very easy to know that they were the company for us.

Questions About Roof Inspections

Is It Really Free?

Yes. Our roof inspections and leak investigations are free. You receive documented findings and clear recommendations. Any maintenance or repair work is quoted separately.

Can You Inspect My Roof Even if It Isn’t Leaking?

Yes. Inspections can identify wear, drainage problems and maintenance needs before you notice a leak. We also offer free annual or biannual inspections, with biannual visits in spring and fall.

Can I Use the Findings When Buying or Selling a Home?

Yes. You can share your inspection report with your real estate agent, buyer or seller to help explain the roof’s condition and any recommended work.

How Fast Can You Get Out Here?

We aim to respond to active leaks within 24 hours. Tell us water is coming in when you call and we’ll put you at the top of the list.

What Should I Share When I Call?

Tell us your address, what you’re seeing, when it started and whether it happens during rain, wind or melting snow. Let us know about any previous repairs too. You don’t need to know your roof type or the cause of the problem.

Will You Try to Sell Me a New Roof?

No. We tell you what your roof actually needs. If a repair or rejuvenation will do the job, that’s what we’ll recommend.
